Love Handles

It’s that time of year again! The little baby with love handles is flying around taking aim with his bow and arrow. I am dodging his arrows and focusing my attention on all the things that I have fallen in love with over the last few months. At Handle House there is so much to love so here are a few of my favourites:

I have fallen completely in love with the amazing pieces from our dear friend at Down Vintage Lane. She takes old pieces of furniture and restores them to their former glory adding hues of colour and different textures and designs to add a certain whimsy and individuality to each piece. If you haven’t seen her work I highly suggest you go and check it out. Most of her pieces incorporate our handles and knobs to compliment and finish each piece stunningly. My favourite piece so far is this gorgeous dusty pink Queen Anne dresser using our Glamour crystal knobs.

My current favourite bathroom is one by our friend Mel who has spent a long time planning this bathroom. With her gorgeous artwork being a feature point this bathroom is a perfect balance of retreat, with that giant bathtub, while still being completely functional for a busy family with its long bench and ample storage space. Mel used our Cup pulls on her draws which are a fantastic option in bathrooms as they have smooth edges that are not going to catch on wayward clothing. This is a space that is going to grow with her family over the years. Updating is as easy as changing the artwork as the mood takes her. Absolutely beautiful Mel!

For me kitchens are the heart and soul of the house, food is my passion, so the biggest love in the home. I love working with clients on planning their new kitchens or updating their current ones. It really is a very hard choice to say which is my favourite. Every project I work on has slightly different little quirks and brilliant ideas from use of space to just overall Wow factor. These are a few of the ones that have really taken my attention recently. Polly did an amazing job updating her kitchen by matching her tap-ware and using our black Narangba handles to the existing window framing. New bench tops and it looked like a whole new kitchen.

At Handle House we fall in love with new projects every day. Unlike Cupid though we have better accuracy than his little arrows when it comes to giving you exactly what you want!
