New Trends

Welcome to 2017!

Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had an amazing holiday period. We are well and truly back into the swing of things here at Handle House. I have been busy pouring over the 2017 trend forecasts seeing what is predicted to be In and what is Forecast to be Out. I have also had a sneak peek at our new ranges that are coming in over the next little while and believe me when I say that it is going to be an exciting year to come for accessorising your home.

In the kitchen, we are seeing a huge rise in custom appliances with the introduction of black options, available in what have customarily only been White or Stainless options. We will be seeing increasingly more black refrigerators and black steel cooktops and ovens. At Handle House, we too have embraced this trend and will be expanding our range of handles to include this new finish and introducing other designs that will blend in beautifully with this new style trend.

The evolution of upcycling is holding steady with people choosing to hold on to unique, finely crafted pieces or family heirlooms that have seen generations grow and trends evolve. We have a huge range of handles and uniquely crafted knobs that will suit any style and compliment your beautiful pieces as they get made over to complete your styling projects.

Another huge trend is layering colours and textures, as well as incorporating different stylings in all areas of the house. We are seeing modern industrial flooring marrying in with classics such as shiplap using materials already available when renovating the home, sparing the expense of purchasing new materials. Our good friend Rachael Turner over at Front Porch Properties forecast this trend very early on and the results are outstanding.

The trends for 2017 are going to be exciting if nothing else and we at Handle House cannot wait to help you with all your new and exciting projects.
