Our new line includes four stunning finishes: gunmetal grey, gold, white, and black, in addition to our timeless classics such as chrome, brushed, and polished stainless steel.
Choosing the perfect doorstop may seem overwhelming due to the abundance of options available. Fear not! We offer a variety of finishes that will flawlessly complement your style. While doorstops may not be the centre of attention, it's essential to ensure their finish matches the rest of the hardware throughout your home. Our T18, T92, and T55, among others, now come in an elegant gold finish, adding a touch of refinement to even the smallest details. If gold isn't your preference, we also offer sleek black, crisp white, and sophisticated gunmetal grey finishes.
T55 Doorstop - Available in stainless steel, black, satin gold, and white.
When it comes to hinges, you might find yourself pondering over options like butt hinges, hirline hinges, or lift-off hinges. Let us guide you through the selection process:
Butt Hinge: Comprising two matching leaves, a butt hinge is recessed into a fixed component, such as the door jamb, with the other leaf attached to the door itself. This versatile hinge is ideal for various applications, including front doors and heavy external or internal doors.
T21 Butt Hinge - Available in black, satin gold, stainless steel, and white.
Hirline Hinge: If you prefer an easier installation process, hirline hinges are your best bet. These hinges do not require a recess in the door and offer exceptional durability, accompanied by a sleek and smooth finish. The complementing screws perfectly match the colour finish.
T22 Extra Heavy Duty Hirline Hinge - Available in black, satin gold, stainless steel, and white.
Lift-off Hinge: Looking for a hinge that allows you to remove the door without opening it? Look no further than our lift-off hinges. Consisting of two parts, these hinges facilitate easy door removal. They are commonly found in toilets. Our T31 universal lift-off hinge is suitable for doors that swing in any direction.
T31 Lift Off Hinge - Available in black, satin gold, stainless steel, and white.
What exactly is a mortice lock? Unlike surface-mounted locks, mortice locks are set within the body of the door. These locks are operated by pushing the lever arm down and securing it with a cylinder. To complete the look of your front door, we offer mortice locks in three finishes: stainless steel, black, and gold.
Escutcheons are essential hardware pieces that protect the inner part of locks while adding a decorative touch to the overall door aesthetics. We are thrilled to introduce three new finishes for our escutcheons.
T16 Round Escutcheons - Available in satin gold, stainless steel, black, and polished stainless steel.
At Handle House, we proudly present the T5 Rebate kit in black and satin gold finishes. A rebate kit is crucial to ensure the proper functioning of mortice locks or roller latches on your doors.

]]>We have seen the use of integrated appliances become extremely popular in kitchens recently. Something about the minimalism, aesthetic, and cleanliness is what creates the appeal for many - say goodbye to fingerprints!
There are a few things to consider before integrating your appliances into the kitchen, one of them being handles!
Now one thing you need to remember is the difference between appliance pull handles and cabinetry handles. Regular pull handles are a lot thinner and although you can use regular pull handles on appliance door, we suggest using our selected range of handles for integrated appliances. You will notice these types of handles tend to be thicker, stronger, and bigger due to the fridge door needing more force to be applied when opening it.
Along with the type of handle, you need to ensure you use thicker screws such as break-off screws. This will help the handle stay in place whereas, using regular 22mm or 25mm won’t suffice leading to the loosening of the handle.
A general rule of thumb that you will want to follow is ensuring the handle you pick is no longer than 352mm, apart from a few handles. Choosing a significantly longer handle may cause it to bow or snap because of the force that is being applied to it, so for this reason I have put together Handle Houses recommendations for handles for integrated appliances. So, let’s get into it!
192mm - The C13 is the smallest handle we recommend for integrated fridges as it might be small but it’s strong. With the length being 192mm, this industrial style, stainless steel handle is perfect for opening doors that require a little more force such as fridge doors.
320mm - The C142, C174, and C27 are all excellent choices of handles for integrated fridges because they are sturdy, solid, and strong all whilst having a sleek, simple look to them. These handles are 320mm long which is the perfect length as it will not run the risk of bowing.
352mm - Going up a size to 352mm, you have the C166 handle and the C21 handle, both popular choices in the interior design industry. Larger and chunkier handles are becoming increasingly popular, and these handles pull this style off perfectly.
384mm - The longest handles that we recommend is the C210 and the C176 which are 384mm long. The reason we make an exception for a handle this long is because of the thickness and strength it holds, meaning it will not bow from the force of being pulled on.
Integrate appliances are a unique way to hide your appliances and they suit any design style whether it’s traditional or modern. So, if you are deciding whether to have integrated appliances in your kitchen, make sure you ensure to consider the type of handle you are going to use. Remember not to pick a handle that is too long and too thin because you don’t want it to bow and snap and you want to make sure it’s strong enough to bare the force.
]]>Stainless steel is one of the most common and popular finishes for handles and hardware. Whether you are looking for kitchen handles, entrance handles, knobs, levers, barn door tracks, or hardware, we have an extensive range of the best graded stainless steel to suit whatever your needs.
Below is the ultimate guide to all things stainless steel:
Grading:
Stainless steel is made up of basic iron and carbon composition as well as an alloy called chromium which prevents corrosion. There are multiple grades and depending on which grade it is, it determines how high the chromium level is along, with other ingredients such as molybdenum, nickel, titanium, copper, nitrogen, phosphorus, aluminium, and selenium. The most popular grades of stainless steel that we sell here at Handle House are 304 and 316. The key difference between these two grades is an ingredient called molybdenum which is present in 316 graded stainless steel but not in 304 stainless steel.
304:
304 graded stainless steel is one of the most popular grades used and this is because of its ability to resist corrosion from most acids that oxidize. 304 stainless steel is made up of small amounts of carbon and manganese, about 35% nickel and between 16-24% chromium. These components make the 304 grade the most economical and practical choice for areas such as kitchens because of how easy it is to clean and sanitize. However, molybdenum isn’t present in this grade meaning it can corrode when exposed to high chloride environments so if you live near the beach, be aware of this. This type of corrosion is caused when cavities begin to form, otherwise known as pitting.
316:
Along with 304-grade stainless steel, 316 is the second most common grade used for stainless steel handles. Just like 304, 316 is made up of the same properties with the biggest key difference being the material molybdenum. This grade holds about 2 – 3% of the element compared to 304 which holds zero. The benefits include withstanding locations with a high exposure count of chloride, like the beach. Salt air is concentrated with chloride meaning those particles can cause corrosion. So, if you live anywhere near the beach, we suggest these handles for your home.
How to clean your handles:
To avoid your handles from any sort of rusting or pitting, we suggest for the first year, applying a thin coat of baby oil, three times a year, making sure to leave it on for roughly an hour before wiping off. Baby oil is great for preventing corrosion and rust with the added benefit of leaving your handles looking shiny and new!
Pros and Cons:
Below are the pros and cons of stainless-steel handles to help with your decision.
Pros:
Stainless steel handles have proven to be more durable than most standard door handles and last much longer due to their corrosive resistance. Meaning, that it will get a lot of use before any signs of wear and tear even start to show.
Stainless steel is much stronger compared to other materials so, therefore, it can withstand any harsh impacts and weather events.
Hospitals and restaurants use stainless handles because they can be sterilized, don’t hold dirt or bacteria, and don’t have micro-holes that could potentially cause chemicals and bacteria to get stuck or transferred when contact is made.
Our environment is so important for many reasons, so we should do everything we can to maintain and care for it. To play your part, you can purchase stainless steel door handles as they are friendly to our environment and recyclable, unlike other door handles.
Stainless steel is the most timeless finish that will not date and will last for years! Whether your style is industrial, modern, or transitional then stainless steel handles are the perfect choice for you.
Cons:
One thing that you will notice with these handles is the price tag. Stainless steel can be more expensive than regular handles as it is of higher quality than regular handles, but you are paying for what you get.
Another downfall of stainless steel handles is that they easily show fingerprints and smudges. But as mentioned earlier it’s nothing a clean, soft cloth and some baby oil can’t fix. They also develop a discoloration called tea staining which is a natural process that occurs, however, using a metal cleaner will bring it back to looking brand new!

]]>Determining Your Handle Size For older kitchens, the most common replacement size we encounter is 96mm, while in more modern kitchens, we see a lot of handles with a 160mm centre-to-centre spacing. As a general rule, longer handles tend to be more expensive as they require more material for production. You can easily determine the size of your existing handles by following these steps:
Non-Standard Size Handles Occasionally, we come across handle suppliers who deviate from the System 32 standard and provide handles with non-standard spacing. This might have been done to limit the availability of replacements from other suppliers. However, we offer solutions for such cases. One option is to cover the existing screw holes on the cabinet board by using a longer or larger handle. Another, though more expensive, option is to replace your drawer fronts. We also have handles available in odd spacing, including 40mm spacing (C57 in 4 different colours), as well as 4 odd-sized handles commonly used for older cabinetry/furniture: 76mm, C164, C28, C156, C171, C197, and C57.
For odd sizes, we have handles with a bar that can cover the hole, allowing you to drill two new holes. Examples of such handles include C178, C82, and C168. This technique can be applied to conceal existing holes for standard horizontal handles, or for vertical handles (on doors), one existing hole can be used while the other is concealed.
Solving Unique Handle Replacement Challenges We also offer another versatile handle option: C79. Available in brushed or polished steel, it comes in all sizes (16 in total) ranging from 64mm up to 544mm centre-to-centre. This handle is an excellent choice for "problem-solving" situations, as it can often be used to replace existing handles seamlessly.
All our handles come with pre-supplied screws suitable for 16mm board thickness. We recommend bringing your existing handles when ordering replacements, or double-checking your measurements. Additionally, it's helpful to measure the thickness of your cabinet drawer fronts (16mm being the most common thickness). We offer different screw sizes for various drawer front thicknesses, including break-off screws that can be used with any thickness.
At Handle House, we strive to make handle replacement as hassle-free as possible. Trust us to guide you in finding the perfect fit for your needs, ensuring a seamless and stylish upgrade for your home.

]]>A Key Consideration: Door Type
The most critical factor in determining the type of hinge to use is the weight it will bear. Doors can generally be categorized into three types:
Hollow Doors (Lightweight): In this case, we recommend opting for a lighter-duty Hirline Hinge. These hinges are not only cost-effective but also quicker to install. Our T30 (stainless steel) or T60 (coloured finish) products are highly recommended. For further information, refer to our comprehensive guide on Hirline Hinges.
Solid Doors (Heavier): If you have solid doors weighing over 40kg, a heavier-duty hirline hinge with ball bearings is necessary. For such doors, we suggest considering our T21 or T22 hinges.
Extra Heavy Doors: When dealing with exceptionally heavy doors, we recommend using butt hinges. Our T22 Extra Heavy Duty Butt Hinges are particularly suitable for this purpose. In fact, some builders, handymen, joiners, and quality door manufacturers prefer these hinges due to their exceptional strength and the timber shoulder they create when chiselled into the door.
Understanding Hollow Doors
Hollow Doors may appear solid on the outside, but they are actually hollow on the inside, often containing construction paper or cellular cardboard in a honeycomb pattern. These doors offer a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to solid core doors. You can easily identify a hollow door as it can be lifted effortlessly by a single person.
Replacing Hinges
When replacing hinges, we generally recommend sticking to a like-for-like replacement. However, if your old hinges were made from a lower grade of metal, our replacement hinges offer significant advantages, as all our hinges are crafted from genuine stainless steel. We selected this material for its superior properties, including strength, longevity, and aesthetic appeal. When replacing butt hinges, it is crucial to ensure that the replacement hinges are the same size. If this is not feasible, opting for a smaller size is an alternative. The sizing is particularly important for butt hinges, as larger hinges would require additional effort in chiselling out a rebate to ensure a proper fit. This task typically requires skilled labour.
Using Heavy-Duty Hinges on Light Doors
The T22 hinge is sometimes employed as an architectural feature due to its striking appearance. Of course, all our heavier-duty hinges can be used on lighter doors as well, serving as a design enhancement.
As always, please feel free to reach out to us. Our team members are ready to assist you in determining the ideal hinges for your project.
]]>Handle House is excited to introduce our new range of barn door tracks and accessories that will effortlessly enhance your doors with functionality and sophistication. Our barn door architectural hardware adds depth and creates a captivating contrast, crafting a unique blend of purpose and elegance for your home. To assist you in making the decision to install a barn door, we have prepared this informative guide.
Understanding Barn Door Tracks
A barn door track is a proven sliding mechanism for doors, particularly ideal for heavier door designs. This space-saving concept originated in the United States, where it was used on actual farm barn doors. Its remarkable efficiency prompted people to adopt the design for their homes, hence the name "barn door."
Advantages of Barn Doors
Opting for a barn door over a regular hinged door or internal cavity offers numerous advantages. Here are some compelling reasons to choose a barn door design:
Design Aspects: The barn door becomes a focal point in your room, especially when coupled with second-hand rustic doors that can be repurposed into functional art using a barn door track.
DIY-Friendly: Unlike regular sliding doors, barn doors do not require an internal cavity. This makes them suitable for installation by most DIY enthusiasts without the need for specialized tradespeople like carpenters and plaster boarders.
Design Flexibility: Existing doors can be modified to suit barn door installations. It doesn't matter how tall your door is; if it's too large, you can always trim it down. In cases where you have a larger opening, adding a second door is possible to accommodate it.
Greater Visibility: With the hardware visible on the outside, any issues with your doors can be easily identified before they become problematic. Imagine the inconvenience of a door falling off its track within an internal cavity.

]]>French doors are renowned for their ability to infuse homes with a delightful traditional ambiance. They effortlessly enhance the character and charm of various design styles, including Hamptons, Coastal, Country, and Rustic. With their glass paneling, French doors allow ample natural light while preserving privacy. To achieve the perfect look and feel, selecting the appropriate hardware is essential. Before choosing handles and hardware, it's crucial to understand some key aspects of your French doors.
Types of French Doors: French doors can be categorised as sliding doors, rebated doors, or leaved doors.
Sliding Doors: Sliding doors consist of leaf doors that smoothly glide together, creating a flush surface.
Rebated Doors: Rebated doors are swinging doors, with one door featuring a groove or channel at the end. This allows it to snugly close onto the other door, forming an overlapping lip and a secure fit.
Considering Door Types: When it comes to selecting handles and hardware, it's essential to determine whether your doors are new or repurposed.
New Doors: New French doors offer more options than repurposed ones. Carefully consider the available space within the door's glass paneling to avoid damaging the glass during installation.
Repurposed Doors: For repurposed doors, ascertain the diameter of any existing boreholes. Additionally, consider whether the wood panel where the hardware will be placed is solid.
Exploring French Door Hardware Options: After considering the above factors, you can explore various hardware options for your French doors. Here are some suggestions:
Choice of Entrance Pull Handles
T3 Roller Lock
T39 or T49 Cylinder
T16 Round Escutcheons
Entrance pull handles offer two options: face-fixed entrance pulls, which are screwed from the front, and back-to-back entrance pulls, which are installed on both sides of the door.
HH Long Plate Lever
T14 Mortice Lock
T39 or T49 Euro Cylinder
Long plated lever sets provide enhanced security for external doors. To maintain aesthetic balance, consider using a matching dummy set on the other side of the door.
T37 Roller Latch
Passage Levers
Dummy Sets
If you need the door to latch without locking, the T37 Roller Latch pairs well with entrance pulls or dummy lever sets. Passage levers with internal tongues are ideal for keeping the door shut.
Additional Hardware: To complement your French doors, consider the following additional products:
Flush Bolts: Keep one side of the door stationary while using the other side as the main entry or exit point.
Hinges: Choose hinges that match the finishes of your hardware to achieve a cohesive look.
Security Considerations: As French doors feature substantial glass surfaces, it's important to ensure their security. By equipping your doors with good locks, flush bolts, and reliable door hardware, you can enjoy their aesthetic appeal while maintaining peace of mind.
French doors undoubtedly contribute to the visual appeal of any home and may even increase its value. With the right French door handles and hardware, you can create a timeless and sophisticated style that complements various interior design themes. Choose wisely, and let your French doors become a captivating focal point of your living space.

In this guide, we'll introduce you to some fantastic design styles to kickstart your inspiration. Ultimately, it's crucial to choose handles or knobs that bring you joy and align with your personal preferences.
Let's delve into some remarkable ideas and designs:
For those seeking a clean and streamlined look, Flush Pulls are the go-to choice. Our C55 round flush pulls, with their symmetrical design, exude a sense of neatness and elegance. Ideal for modern coastal design styles, they work wonders on both sliding and hinged wardrobe doors. Additionally, other flush pulls can add a unique design element to suit any style you desire.
Discovering designer handles that perfectly complement your wardrobe involves considering style, finish, and size requirements. Whether your taste leans towards traditional, modern, or something in between, cabinet handles offer functionality and aesthetics. They serve as a functional asset, ensuring you find the right handle that fits your criteria and enhances your wardrobe's overall appeal.
Cup Pulls, when added to your drawers, infuse a touch of charm and character into your wardrobe design. These handles not only serve a practical purpose but also captivate attention and appeal to a variety of wardrobe styles.
Sometimes, simplicity and practicality reign supreme. Knobs serve as excellent choices for maintaining a smart and organized wardrobe. They effortlessly enhance drawers, cupboards, and even provide a convenient spot to hang your dressing gown.
Remember, maintaining a balanced and cohesive aesthetic across your wardrobes involves considering different cabinetry hardware options. With a wide range of finishes available, you can effortlessly find one that complements your existing décor.
Consider using Dummy Levers on your wardrobes for a touch of inspiration and practicality. These levers offer a continuous flow throughout your home when matched with other lever set products.
Additionally, our knobs, handles, flush pulls, and lever sets can be paired with our innovative T Magnets, providing a functional and minimalist concealed look. These magnets, discreetly integrated within the door's width, offer a clean, efficient, and durable solution to ensure your doors remain securely shut.
In conclusion, whatever option you choose, prioritize selecting something you will love for years to come. At Handle House, we are here to guide you through your wardrobe handle or knob selection process, ensuring your choices align with your style preferences and deliver lasting satisfaction.
]]>Barn doors have become a popular choice for homeowners looking to add charm and character to their spaces. With a rustic appeal and a modern twist, barn doors can transform any room. However, it's the door hardware that truly completes the overall look and feel of your barn door.
Purposeful and Stylish
Barn doors can be customised to various sizes, colors, and styles, allowing you to create a unique impression in your home. And when it comes to adding that finishing touch, door handles play a crucial role. Our selection of door hardware is designed to suit different design styles, whether you're going for a Hamptons, industrial, retro, or modern look. From entrance pulls and flush pulls to knobs and barn door handles, we have the perfect options to complement your desired aesthetic.
The Benefits of Barn Door Handles
Sliding barn doors offer the advantage of connecting rooms while still allowing for privacy when needed. Our barn door handles not only provide functional convenience but also enhance the overall style and appeal of your door. Our round and square barn door sets, available in high-quality brushed stainless steel or black finishes, are solid and heavy-duty. One side features a flush pull, while the other side boasts a pull handle. These handles are suitable for both residential and commercial applications, perfect for wood or aluminum doors, and can be used indoors or outdoors.
Maximise Space and Comfort
One of the great advantages of barn doors is that they operate without hinges, gliding smoothly along a track. This eliminates the need for extra space for door swing, making them an ideal solution even for small floor plans. With our flush pulls, you can enjoy hardware that doesn't protrude into the room, allowing for more freedom of movement while maintaining a stylishly cool aesthetic.
Choose Your Statement Piece
When selecting barn door hardware, opt for a statement piece that seamlessly ties in with and enhances your overall design style. Whether you prefer a bold or subtle look, our range of barn door hardware will help you achieve the perfect finishing touch for your barn doors.
At Handle House, we pride ourselves on offering high-quality barn door hardware that combines functionality with style. Our collection will elevate your home with the perfect barn door solution.
]]>Lever Set Door Handles / Pull Handles: Lever set door handles offer various options such as Dummy, Passage, Privacy, or Keyed handles. These handles are operated by pushing down on the lever to open the door. On the other hand, pull handles, typically found on entrance doors, consist of back-to-back long bar handles that require pushing or pulling the bar to open the door.
Steps to Consider in Choosing the Right Door Handle:
Design Style: Consider the design style theme you desire for both the external and internal look of your door handles.
Security Factors: For your front door, evaluate whether you require additional locking security, such as double deadbolts or Smart Locks, with your pull handles or lever door handles.
Door Size and Compatibility: Take into account the size of your door, ensuring that the door handle is proportionate and not overly large. Also, consider handles that will fit the door, especially if you have a screen door in front. Pay attention to the handle's projection to prevent it from protruding too far out.
Room Functionality: Consider the room to which the door leads, whether it's a wardrobe, laundry room, toilet, bathroom, bedroom, or any other space.
Required Function: Determine the function you need for your door handle, such as a dummy set, passage set, privacy set, or keyed set.
Material Selection: Choose the type of material for your door handles based on your environmental conditions. If you live in a seaside area or require handles that can withstand various elements, consider stainless steel. Zinc die-cast door handles are suitable for indoor use.
Complementary Finishes: Select a finish that complements your surroundings, such as black, satin gold, white, satin nickel, or stainless steel. Some pull handles can be powder coated, and roses on lever door handles can also be customised. If desired, you can coordinate your door hardware with your cabinet hardware or fixtures.
Additional Accessories: Enhance the overall look by adding door accessories like door stops, flush bolts, cabin hooks, or hinges.
Installation Considerations: Decide whether you will install the door handles and accessories yourself or hire a professional installer. Rest assured that all our door handles come with instructions.
User-Friendliness: Take into account the comfort, practicality, and function of the door handles, especially if they will be used by the elderly or children.
Choose a door handle that will improve your life with ease. Select your door handle wisely to reflect your personal style and meet the needs of your home. At Handle House, we strive for the right balance, providing superior customer service and offering high-quality products at affordable prices. Remember, when it comes to door handles, prioritise quality for a better and longer-lasting experience. Complete your home with the perfect door handles...explore now!
]]>Cleaning Process:
Understanding Stainless Steel Maintenance: Stainless steel handles are resistant to corrosion, but they require regular cleaning to prevent stains and discoloration. Tea staining, a brownish discoloration, can occur over time, especially in areas with high chloride content in the water. While Handle House's stainless-steel products are of the highest Australian quality and highly corrosion-resistant, it's important to note that all stainless steel can stain and discolour over time. Regular maintenance and cleaning help control these effects, particularly in coastal areas. Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential to keep your stainless-steel handles looking their best and preventing stains and discoloration.
Number 1 Stainless Steel Cleaning Product: Nver Dull Bi-Stainless Steel Cleaner
By following the step-by-step cleaning process outlined in this guide, using suitable cleaning products, and maintaining regular care, you can preserve the quality and appearance of your stainless-steel handles for years to come.

]]>In the ever-changing landscape of kitchen designs, it's crucial to get your kitchen right the first time to avoid future hassles and mistakes. When it comes to choosing hardware for your kitchen, it's not just about distinctive styles, finishes, and sizes. Practicality and functionality play a significant role in creating a space that will serve you well both now and in the future. This guide will assist you in selecting the hardware that best suits your kitchen space.
Creating Your Ideal Space: Consider the space you are working with, whether it's small, large, open-plan, or constrained by walls. Organizing and visualising the perfect functional kitchen can be a straightforward process once you understand the space you're creating and how you plan to use it.
Practicality: Evaluate the practicality of your kitchen space. Practicality refers to designing or adapting something for actual use and ensuring it serves a useful purpose. Cupboards, drawers, and storage are essential for minimising clutter, and they require practical hardware for smooth opening and closing. Even if you desire a seamless look, your cabinetry hardware should allow for easy usage.
Functionality: Assess how well your kitchen space will serve you functionally. Consider the frequency of use—whether it's often, occasional, or rare—and plan a layout that allows for easy and efficient everyday practice. Since kitchens are high-usage areas, creating an efficient and serviceable zone will greatly benefit your experience.
Harmonizing Elements: Consider the elements that tie in with your kitchen design. In a small room, you'll want to avoid protruding handles that may cause inconvenience. Opting for minimalistic features like lip pulls, flush pulls, ring pulls, or cup pulls can maintain a clean, tidy, and practical aesthetic. For larger rooms, the options are limitless, depending on your preferred style and design.
Safety Considerations: Practicality also involves considering safety factors. If you have children or plan to have them in the future, you'll want handles that are practical for little hands but not inviting for climbing. Ensure the hardware you choose minimises potential injuries and climbing incidents by opting for rounded or minimalistic designs.
Aesthetics Matter: While the function of cabinetry handles is crucial for easy access to drawers, cupboards, and storage, it's not solely about functionality. Hardware can also contribute to the overall design and style, helping you achieve a desired look that complements your kitchen.
When choosing hardware for your kitchen, strike a balance between practicality and functionality. Ensure that the hardware you select aligns with the specific needs of your space and serves you well in terms of both usability and aesthetics. By considering practicality, safety, and functionality, you can create a kitchen that not only looks great but also works seamlessly for you and your family.
]]>Maintaining Outdoor Handles:
Just like any aspect of housekeeping, attention to detail is crucial for maintaining your outdoor space. This includes cleaning your BBQ, outdoor kitchen, and, of course, your handles. Stainless steel handles may experience a natural phenomenon known as tea-staining, which results in a brown discoloration caused by corrosion. While this doesn't affect the handle's structure or performance, it's important to address it for long-term sustainability. To prevent tea-staining, clean the handles using filtered, clean water and a sponge, then wipe them dry with a cloth. If tea-staining has already occurred, Handle House offers specialist metal/steel cleaners like Nevr-Dull to restore the handles' appearance. Avoid using steel wool as it can leave behind residue prone to rusting.

Whether you aim for a modern, chic, or traditional feel, you can make a powerful statement with one of our front door entrance pull handles. Your door furniture should evoke an atmosphere of grandeur and warmth, extending a welcoming embrace to your family, friends, and visitors. By utilizing attractive, functional, and practical door furniture, you can enhance the street appeal of your home and increase its value.
Finding the Right Fit for Your Door
Our handles come in various lengths to accommodate doors of all sizes. Opting for longer door handles on larger front doors not only looks visually appealing but also allows you to make a style statement that reflects your overall aesthetic. The size of the handle you choose for your front door is a personal decision, as long as it doesn't compromise the door's structural integrity.
For a contemporary design, consider the following great suggestions:
To Lever or Not to Lever...
Deciding whether to use a lever handle or not is another crucial consideration. Do you prefer a door lever for pushing or pulling? Both options work effectively, but the choice ultimately depends on the style you wish to create, whether you're aiming for contrast or consistency throughout your home. We offer a wide range of lever styles, designs, and colours to suit your preferences.
Complete the Look with Door Hardware Accessories
In addition to door handles, we also offer an excellent selection of door hardware accessories to help you achieve a polished look. Keyed cylinders, hinges, escutcheons, and locks are often overlooked when selecting door hardware. Escutcheons, for instance, are both practical and decorative, hiding and tidying the look by concealing the cylinder lock and protecting it from the elements. These accessories come in various shapes, such as square or round, and different finishes to suit your needs.
Routine Cleaning for Long-Lasting Beauty
We understand that cleaning your door handles may not be at the top of your to-do list. However, implementing a simple cleaning routine for your handles will help prevent rapid deterioration and extend their lifespan. Regular polishing and cleaning will ensure your door handles maintain their pristine appearance and save you money in the long run. To minimize cleaning efforts, consider brushed or matte finishes, which tend to show fewer marks compared to polished finishes.
Invest in Your Entrance Door Handles
Your entrance door handles serve as an investment that showcases your entryway to the world. Choose door furniture that leaves a lasting impression, welcoming you home with a touch of elegance and functionality.
]]>When it comes to putting the finishing touches on your new kitchen, it's important to consider the small yet significant details. While décor and soft furnishings like pictures, rugs, and runners come to mind, kitchens require additional thought. Choosing the right hardware, such as pull handles, cup pulls, or knobs, can greatly enhance the overall aesthetic of the space. So, as you embark on your kitchen design journey, it's best to have a clear idea of the style you want to achieve and find the elements that align with that vision.
Before diving into the planning process, it's crucial to understand your preferences in terms of material, colour, style, and the overall impression you wish to create. Consider whether you want your fixtures to harmonise with your hardware, such as using the same colour for your lighting, tapware, window frames, appliances, and door handles, to achieve a cohesive look.
When selecting kitchen handles, there are several factors to keep in mind:
Adding the Finishing Touches
If you desire a modern handle but want to infuse your new kitchen with a industrial and contemporary feel, consider the current trend of using luxurious metals like brushed stainless steel, brass, matte black, white and stain nickel.
If you are wanting your hardware finish to complement a wide range of kitchen styles, from classic Hamptons, traditional or a vintage feel, consider copper, satin gold, polished nickel, chrome, antique silver and bronze. Regardless of your choice, ensure that the handle feels comfortable to use and meet your daily functional needs.
The kitchen is often the heart of the home, where you'll spend a significant amount of time. It's typically part of an open-plan space that combines dining, living, and entertaining areas. To create a cohesive and practical kitchen design, consider the colours, lighting, tapware, splashback, and hardware that will contribute to the overall ambiance and functionality you desire.
While these design elements are crucial, they are often overlooked in the early stages of the design process. To ensure a seamless integration of all the design elements, turn to Handle House as your go-to store for handle and knob inspiration. ]]>We understand your concern, but rest assured, there are solutions available! Let us guide you through some clever tips and tricks to address this common issue.
Firstly, you need to determine the measurements of the centre-to-centre distance between the screw holes. This can be easily done by removing one of the original handles and measuring the distance between the holes either on the handle itself or on the cupboard.
Once you have these measurements, you can search for handles of the same size on our website. We provide detailed dimensions and measurements for all our products, and many of our handles are available in increments of 32mm, starting from 32mm. We also offer handles in some uncommon sizes to cater to various needs.
However, if you encounter a measurement that doesn't match our standard options, don't worry! There are still ways to hide the old holes and revitalize your kitchen, bathroom, or furniture. For instance, if you have to redrill new holes and the old holes become exposed, look for handles that have lips, overhangs, or solid pieces that sit flush against the cupboard surface.
Here are some excellent examples: These handles also work wonders in concealing any unsightly marks that may be left behind by previous handles when removed from cupboards, drawers, or cabinets.
Cup Pulls - Cup pulls are a fantastic choice as they cover the pre-existing holes with their cup-shaped design.
Eyelid Pulls - Eyelid pulls feature a lip that provides the same benefits as cup pulls.
Flat Pulls - Flat pulls, with their rectangular shape, are ideal for hiding marks or holes.
Long Flush Bars - These handles sit flush against the cupboard surface, making the old holes virtually invisible.
These examples demonstrate just a few of the ways you can replace old handles with something fresh and different, without unnecessary hassle. Now that you know these secrets, there's no need to worry or feel overwhelmed when updating and revitalizing your kitchen, bathroom, or furniture. With some clever thinking and savvy choices, you can make the change seamlessly and effortlessly!
