Warranty, Terms & Conditions
Handle Warranty
We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits on custom-made orders, bought in purchases, or sale items. Any discrepancies must be reported within 7 days of receiving goods. All other claims for refunds or exchanges must be submitted within 30 days of receipt and must include the original invoice. Items must be returned in their original condition and may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Claims made after these timeframes will not be accepted.
Handle House provides a guarantee against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of three years from the date of purchase, subject to fair wear and tear. The company offers free replacement of goods to its customers in such cases.
However, please note that Handle House will not be liable under this guarantee in the following circumstances:
- If the product is not installed correctly or fitting instructions are not followed (if provided).
- In case of failure due to improper maintenance or fair wear and tear. Please refer to the care and maintenance section on the website for each type of material.
- For any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including the cost of freight and/or travelling time.
- All finishes may deteriorate due to specific climatic conditions such as coastal environments and regular usage, both of which fall outside the scope of this guarantee. It's important to acknowledge that this also extends to all products utilised externally.
It's worth noting that brass/gold and zinc diecast products are not recommended for coastal environments, and their finishes are not covered under this warranty.
If you're placing our stainless-steel range outdoors, it's important to ensure proper maintenance. Should the product develop brown tea stain marks, please consult our finishes page for recommended care and maintenance procedures.
All finishes are prone to deterioration under certain climatic conditions and normal everyday use, which are excluded from this guarantee.
- This guarantee does not cover labour costs, personal loss, economic, consequential, or property damage of any kind.
Prices
Prices includes GST and are Recommended Retail Prices.
Title of Goods
All goods remain the property of Handle House & Things until invoice and any related cost are paid in full.
Delivery Charges
At present, we utilise the delivery services provided by Fastways, TNT, and Australia Post. The delivery fee is calculated based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of the package.
Stock Availability
Delivery of products is subject to availability of stock at all times, and Handle House will not be responsible for any expenses incurred due to stock unavailability. If a product is not available, we will contact you at the time of purchase to inform you.
Payments
We accept credit cards of Visa or Mastercard, or via Direct Bank Deposit. The fastest way to get your product shipped is by paying with Credit Card. If by Direct Bank Deposit we do ask for a bank receipt, so we can process your order sooner, as some banks take fewer days to clear.
General Guarantee
Handle House provides a guarantee on our products against any defects in material or workmanship. This guarantee excludes coverage for normal wear and tear. Please note that we are not responsible for any damages caused by incorrect installation due to non-compliance with instructions or lack of proper maintenance.
Powder Coating / Timber Handles
Delivery or pick up of special orders may take around one week to ten days. Please note that returns for these orders may not be accepted unless arranged with the store beforehand.
